KNISHTORY

Knishes are a traditional Jewish pastry from Eastern Europe. They’re baked golden brown, and packed with a wide variety of fillings including, but not limited to, potato, cheese, onion, meat and kasha. They were popularized in North America around the turn of the century through various food vendors and delis in New York city, bringing an affordable and delicious taste of home to the many Jewish neighbourhoods of the city.
